Recently, Yanyuan apples were loaded in Liangshan Prefecture and directly transported to Vietnam, truly realizing the first self operated export in Panzhihua Xichang region and directly stepping onto the international stage from the origin.

Since last year, the Commerce, Economy and Foreign Affairs Bureau of Yanyuan County, together with the Panzhihua Customs, has made great efforts to strengthen the construction of apple planting bases for export, ensure that the quality of fruit meets the export requirements, and obtain the registration of foreign trade operators and the registration certificate of outbound fresh fruit orchards. This year, Yanyuan Apple successfully signed a purchase and sales contract with Vietnam Wanfengsheng Import and Export Member Co., Ltd., and successfully exported to Vietnam through the inspection and quarantine of the origin.

In the past, most Yanyuan apples were purchased by enterprises in other provinces and cities. After being repackaged by foreign trade companies, they were exported, and some were even labeled with foreign trademarks. Completely unable to give play to the advantages of the original place of Yanyuan County, it also greatly affected the income of fruit farmers. According to the statistics of the local commerce department, Yanyuan apples will enter the Southeast Asian market through Hekou, Ruili and other Southeast Asian ports in 2021, and the sales volume of apples sold through the ports will account for about 30% of the total apples in the county.

In recent years, as a new high mountain apple producing area in China, Yanyuan apple has developed rapidly. Since the apples were planted in Yanyuan in 1958, the local apple planting area has reached 420000 mu, the output has reached 590000 tons, and the output value is 3 billion yuan. According to the analysis of agricultural experts, Yanyuan Apple Base is 2200-2700 meters above sea level, a fault basin surrounded by mountains. The orchard irrigation water mainly comes from rain and mountain streams. In addition, the 7 ecological indicators of Yanyuan County, including annual rainfall, annual average temperature, monthly average temperature, annual extreme minimum temperature, summer average temperature, days at 35 ℃, and summer average minimum temperature, fully meet the requirements of high-quality apple production. Therefore, Yanyuan apple has the characteristics of good coloring, high sugar content, crisp pulp, good taste and storage resistance.
